June 2023 • 6 days
The Faroe Islands is a self-governing archipelago, part of the Kingdom of Denmark. It comprises 18 rocky, volcanic islands between Iceland and Norway in the North Atlantic Ocean, connected by road tunnels, ferries, causeways and bridges. It has around 53000 people, its own language and doesn't pretend to the EU. Even Denmark is part of the EU, the Faroe Islands - no, mostly because of fishing rights. It has around 54000 people, its language, its flag and money.
